General Questions
What is Quillific?
Quillific is an AI-powered writing suite that helps users draft, rewrite, paraphrase, summarize, translate, and improve written text. It is designed for students, researchers, professionals, and lifelong learners.
Who is behind Quillific?
Quillific is developed by Pronunciator LLC, a company based in Wyoming, USA. Pronunciator creates learning and discovery tools used globally by public libraries, schools, universities, and individuals.
Who can use Quillific?
Anyone aged 16 or older may use Quillific. Institutions such as public libraries and universities may offer access to their patrons, students, faculty, or staff.
Accounts & Access
Do I need an account to use Quillific?
Yes. All users sign in using Firebase Authentication (Email + Password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In). This ensures security and allows your personal writing history to follow you across devices.
How do libraries or universities provide access?
Institutions typically provide access through:
- IP-based access (onsite instant access)
- Library card or institutional login (one-time per device)
- A combined model using both
Can multiple users share one institutional subscription?
Yes. Library and campus subscriptions cover all authorized users (patrons, students, or faculty), based on the institution’s population served.
Privacy & Data
What personal information does Quillific collect?
We collect only basic account information: first name, last name, email address, region, and Firebase User ID. Passwords are handled only by Firebase Auth and never stored by us.
Does Quillific store the text I write or edit?
Yes. Your input and output text are stored in your personal History so you can revisit past work. This data is private to your account (unless you choose to share it externally).
Does Quillific use user data for model training?
No. We do not use your data to train any models.
Where is data stored?
All data is stored in the United States. AI processing is done through OpenAI, which may retain data for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring.
Does Quillific comply with library privacy standards?
Yes. We avoid collecting personally identifying usage logs, do not track content in analytics, and never sell or share user data.

What types of writing tasks can Quillific help with?
Quillific can:

Is AI-generated text always reliable?
No. AI output may be inaccurate, biased, outdated, or incomplete. Users are responsible for reviewing and verifying all results.
Can Quillific be used for academic writing?
Yes, but users must follow their institution’s academic integrity guidelines. Quillific is a writing aide, not a replacement for original work.
For Libraries & Universities
How does pricing work for institutions?
Pricing is based on population served. Consortium-friendly pricing is available for multi-library systems and statewide deployments.
Can we run a trial before subscribing?
Yes. We offer institutional trial access so staff and patrons can evaluate the platform.
What authentication options are available?
Institutions can choose:
- IP authentication for on-premises access
- Library card or campus login
- A hybrid model
Does Quillific require patron email addresses?
No. Institutions control the access method. If patrons use Email + Password, it is handled securely through Firebase Auth.
Can we get usage statistics?
Yes. Institutions may receive aggregated, non-identifying usage reports. These never include user text or personal writing history.
Subscriptions & Billing
How do individual users subscribe?
Subscriptions are available through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and the web (Stripe). All subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel through the platform where you originally subscribed (Apple, Google, or web).
Do you offer refunds?
Refunds follow the policies of the platform where you subscribed. Apple and Google handle their own refunds; web-based purchases follow Stripe and legal requirements.
Technical Questions
What devices does Quillific support?
Quillific works on:
- iOS devices (iPhone, iPad)
- Android phones and tablets
- Web browsers on desktop and mobile
Does Quillific use cookies?
No. The web version uses no cookies and no session storage, only minimal LocalStorage for interface settings.
Is my data encrypted?
No. Data is not encrypted at rest or in transit. Users should avoid entering highly sensitive personal information.

How do I request account deletion?
Email support@pronunciator.com. Upon verification, all data associated with your account will be permanently deleted.
How do institutions get support?
Institutional customers can contact us at support@pronunciator.com for onboarding, configuration, and technical assistance.
