This FAQ answers common questions from individual users, public libraries, universities, and other institutions evaluating or using Quillific.
General Questions
What is Quillific?
Quillific is an AI-powered writing suite that helps users revise existing text by paraphrasing, rewriting, summarizing, translating, and improving clarity, grammar, and tone. It works only on text provided by the user and does not generate original content.
Who is behind Quillific?
Quillific is developed by Pronunciator LLC, a company based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, USA. Pronunciator creates learning and discovery tools used globally by public libraries, schools, universities, and individuals.
Who can use Quillific?
Anyone aged 16 or older may use Quillific. Institutions such as public libraries and universities may offer access to their patrons, students, faculty, or staff.
Accounts & Access
Do I need an account to use Quillific?
Yes. All users sign in using Firebase Authentication (Email + Password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In). This ensures security and allows your personal writing history to follow you across devices.
Is Quillific free to use?
Yes. Free users can enjoy up to 5 edits per day. Subscribing unlocks unlimited edits, full writing history, and additional usage features.
Can I use Quillific across web, iOS, and Android with one account?
Yes. A single Quillific account works across all supported platforms. When you sign in with the same credentials, your writing history, preferences, and settings follow you between web, iOS, and Android.
If I subscribe on one platform, can I use Quillific on others?
Yes. Your account works everywhere, but subscription entitlements are managed by the platform where you subscribed. Web subscriptions apply on web; App Store and Google Play subscriptions apply within their respective ecosystems.
What happens if I switch devices or get a new phone?
Simply sign in with the same account. Your writing history and preferences will be restored automatically.
Can I change my sign-in method later?
Yes. You may link multiple sign-in providers (email, Google, Apple) to the same account while keeping a single writing history.
How do libraries or universities provide access?
Institutions provide access to Quillific for their authorized users using methods that fit their local policies and technical environment.
Can multiple users use one institutional subscription?
Yes. Library and campus subscriptions cover all authorized users (such as patrons, students, or faculty). Each user signs in with their own individual account; accounts are not shared.
Privacy & Data
What personal information does Quillific collect?
We collect only basic account information: first name, last name, email address, region, and Firebase User ID. Passwords are handled only by Firebase Auth and never stored by us.
Does Quillific store the text I write or edit?
Yes. Your input and output text are stored in your personal History so you can revisit past work. This data is visible only to you within your account.
Does Quillific use user data for model training?
No. We do not use your data to train any models.
Where is data stored?
All data is stored in the United States. AI processing is handled by third-party providers, which may temporarily retain data for abuse prevention and system integrity purposes.
Does Quillific comply with library privacy standards?
Yes. We avoid collecting personally identifying usage logs, do not track content in analytics, and never sell or share user data.

What types of writing tasks can Quillific help with?
Quillific can help you:

Does Quillific generate original AI-written content?
No. Quillific does not generate original content. It works only on text you provide, helping you revise, improve, paraphrase, or translate that material.
Can Quillific be used for academic writing?
Yes, but users must follow their institution’s academic integrity guidelines. Quillific is a writing aide, not a replacement for original work.
Support & Contact
Who owns my writing?
You do. All text you write or revise in Quillific remains yours.
How do I request account deletion?
You can delete your account directly from within the app. Before deleting your account, be sure to cancel any active subscription on the platform where you originally subscribed (Apple, Google, or web), as deleting your account does not automatically cancel subscriptions.
